I am delighted to announce that my submission for the 2016 BP Portrait Award has made it through the first stage of selection, which narrows the thousands of entries down to a few hundred.
The painting will now be delivered to the National Portrait Gallery in London for the next round, which will determine whether it will be one of the 50-60 selected for the exhibition.
The subject of the portrait will remain a secret until the selection process is complete towards the end of March.
